Today is the final day of this video series and we’re going to look at the information you can get from FullStory so you can understand exactly how your visitors are interacting with your website. Welcome to 30 Days to a Better Website This is the video series where each day we look at a different aspect of your website to see where we can make improvements, so we can help you to make your website much more successful. On day 10, you should have installed FullStory on your website. If you didn’t, go back and do it now. Otherwise, you should have had some traffic to your website, so there are some user sessions that we can analyse and other information we can look at. So, let’s get right into it and jump into the computer. Login to your FullStory account. You want to watch every user session by clicking on the ‘Play’ buttons. When you watch the user sessions, you’re looking for things like; which parts of your website do people spend most time on? Is there a consistent place where they close the page? Think why this might be happening. Do you need to state more benefits to get their attention? Or do you need to add a call to action to get them to do something and move things forward? Are your visitors completing your call to action? If they aren’t, maybe you need to make it more prominent or change your call to action completely. Do people re-read parts of your website? Do you need to make that section clearer? If you scroll beneath the user sessions, you can find a wealth of other information to help you make your website more successful. For example, where your traffic is coming from. Such as Google, social media or business directories. If you’re getting way more traffic from certain sources, you may want to do more promotion on that source to capitalise on this. Also, to re-emphasise what we’ve been saying about the importance of your website being mobile device optimised, you can see in this panel how many people access your website on mobile versus desktop. Have a look through the rest of the information that’s available on FullStory and find out what else you can learn. We’ve created a free downloadable eBook covering every single day of this video series. There’s a link in the description box to where you can get your copy. We won’t see you tomorrow because this is the final day of this video series and you’ve completed it. Congratulations. However, you might want to check out the rest of our YouTube channel because we’ve got so many videos giving you website success and advice tips to help you get the success that you want online.
